CURRENT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Auerbach maintains a clinical and consulting psychology practice located in Encinitas.  He provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups facilitating both symptom relief and personal growth.  Furthermore, he consults and coaches individuals and businesses on increasing productivity while decreasing stress. In addition to his private practice,  Dr. Auerbach is on staff at four Scripps Hospitals throughout San Diego County (Encinitas, La Jolla, Mercy, and Chula Vista).  He provides consultation and liaison services including psychological and diagnostic evaluations with patients in the emergency departments, medical floors, and intensive care units.  Dr. Auerbach frequently consults to a variety of healthcare professionals including physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and social workers regarding psychological, psychiatric, and therapeutic interventions and dispositions.  Furthermore, he collaborates with other hospitals, clinics, drug & alcohol programs, county mental health facilities, and police departments surrounding patient care.  Finally, Dr. Auerbach is intimately familiar with a variety of treatment options and resources throughout San Diego County, and works closely with his patients and their families facilitating a wide range of treatment options.
